How 'Kitchen Table Cards' came about

'I am a mostly self-taught artist, drawing and painting in between bringing up my family, classroom teaching and, later, remedial literacy tutoring. I have successfully exhibited my pastel paintings and a few years back, two of them were accepted for the Bath Society of Artists' Summer Exhibition. But I've always been drawn to greeting card design and I've sold a few cards based on my pastel paintings and screenprints through local shops and craft centres and through yoodoo.com'

'More recently I began creating handpainted designs specifically for greeting cards (Flutterby Designs) and selling them through US print-on-demand websites. But most of my sales through the internet have been to US customers and I would now like to make my greeting cards more readily available in the UK. So I set up 'The Kitchen Table Card Company' as much of the work has been carried out on my kitchen table and the idea of selling cards over coffee - again, at the kitchen table perhaps? - is appealing! As someone recently commented, it's a fun way to do business!'
The Card Collections
'With about 450 designs in the catalogue, 'Kitchen Table Cards' come in a broad range of styles and include cards for all occasions. If you can't find exactly what you want, most of the designs can be customised to meet your requirements at no extra cost. I love to experiment so I'm frequently adding new designs and styles to my collection. In particular, I try to provide cards for 'men of all ages' as feedback has highlighted that they can be particularly difficult to find suitable cards for!'
